The village of Adavi wasn’t exactly the opposite of daarimsai,both village has it’s traditions and beliefs wholly based on the archaic generational heritage passed down from barbaric ancestors which for most of them discriminate against women as they are seen as an item to fulfill men’s purpose, although the people of daarimsai has long promulgated laws that sustain some relief to women if only they could prove their assertion.
In the village of Adavi,a man from the royal family get to become a man after he has sexual intimacy with a girl who has been circumcised,hence once a girl is birthed she’s bethored to one amongst the royal men with the obligation of fulfilling his purpose.While the life of a woman start only when she has been circumcised, it’s then the duty of each parent to make sure the bethored girl child fit to fulfill his purpose, failure of which would result to banishment.
Amila was no exception of the girls who had been bethored to the royals before the death of both her parents and has now come of age to be circumcised,with this,the neighboring families of Amila and her brother vowed to stand against the barbaric tradition of the royals as their daughters had suffered traumatic disorder and other sever complications of ages with no Care for their medications.
The king being aware of the revolution, declared the execution of all those that vowed to go against the traditions.
The ruling of the king caused choas and commotions,for once the people before hand disagreed but the king stood his ground.
The king captured all those involved,to be executed by him in the middle of the market right after anyone who objected to the king’s decisions,The people of Adavi gathered and wept bitterly with no hope of help,as the king approach John to cut of his neck and arrow was short by Amila which pierced from the king’s back to his chest resulting to his instant death.
Jubilation had no bound when John was crowned and the female genital mutilation was considered as a heinous crime next to murder with laws that outrightly punish with death.
