The photograph submitted to the competition is part of a project that promotes the values ​​and principles of freedom, equality and dignity of the human person, especially women, who on November 25th and February 6th, extend their hands next to a created mural. To this end, it celebrates the days established by the UN for the prevention and elimination of violence and genital mutilation against women and girls. Achieving gender equality, freedom and empowerment of women and girls involves the definitive eradication of violence and female genital mutilation, through a joint action of all living forces in society; either by repressive or preventive measures. It is time to say, “zero violence and female genital mutilation”.
